Drones have been vital for both sides since Vladimir Putin launched his full-scale invasion of Ukraine - and Russia is now using a UAV from Iran - the Shahed-136 - in kamikaze attacks to bombard and terrorise Ukrainian cities, while Kyiv has been accused of hitting Russia’s Black Sea Fleet with a "massive" boat drone attack.
Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) are not new, but experts say they have been “transformational” in Ukraine and their use has rapidly evolved over the course of the war.
