Turkey is entering a new era in defense with the delivery of the Steel Dome air defense system, the inauguration of 14 new Aselsan facilities, and the groundbreaking of the Oğulbey Technology Base.
Following the success of its first aircraft carrier, TCG Anadolu, Turkey is now preparing for a larger and more advanced carrier to strengthen its maritime power and global influence.
The Steel Dome, consisting of 47 specialized vehicles worth $460 million, provides a powerful shield against modern aerial threats such as drones, ballistic missiles, and rockets.
Meanwhile, Aselsan’s expansion boosts Turkey’s technological capabilities in radar, sensors, and communication systems, reinforcing the country’s self-reliance in defense.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan emphasized that these achievements are not only about security but also about economic growth, innovation, and building a foundation for the next 50 years. Turkey is now moving toward becoming a global defense power, independent and technologically advanced.
