The US military is always working to stay ahead of the curve when it comes to weapons technology. And they are constantly experimenting with new ideas and designs to create even more effective tools for protecting their country.
From high-tech firearms to advanced drones, the US military constantly pushes the boundaries of what's possible.
In fact, the Army is preparing to test its new hypersonic weapons two more times before putting them into use by the first unit later this year.
The Army and Navy are working together on this project and will launch the missile from the ground. And the missile is expected to be very fast, over 3,836 mph, and have a range of about 1,725 miles. However, the exact speed and range are not publicly known. That’s why today, we are going to talk about everything we know about these new and shockingly advanced US military weapons that will change warfare forever!

In 2020, the Air Force launched a hypersonic missile from its oldest bomber. This shows that the US Air Force has taken a big step forward in developing a hypersonic weapon.
They have successfully tested the AGM-183A Air-launched Rapid Response Weapon or ARRW by affixing it under the wing of a B-52 Stratofortress.
This test involved relaying data and verifying that the ARRW and the bomber worked together seamlessly.
The test, called a captive-carry test, is usually done before a new weapons system is ready for a full test flight.
In addition, photos of the test showed the ARRW, with the words "celeri responsio" or "rapid response," under the wing of the B-52H named "Dragon's Inferno."
Now, the ARRW is a major milestone for the Pentagon's hypersonic aspirations and the Air Force's plans to turn the B-52 into a more versatile "arsenal plane."
The ARRW was expected to become operational last year and will allow the Air Force to apply conventional firepower anywhere in the world at high speed.
Meanwhile, the Army and Navy have been collaborating on a hypersonic missile project for the past 10 years.
The Army focused on creating the glide body of the missile, while the Navy developed a two-part booster stack.
However, the Army has chosen the unit to use the missiles but hasn't announced it yet.
On the other hand, the Navy intends to equip the three Zumwalt-class stealth destroyers and 20 Virginia class submarines with hypersonic missiles.
The US Army and Navy have been working on a Conventional Prompt Strike or CPS project to create a hypersonic weapon system that can be launched from ships, submarines, and land.
The goal is to conduct precise strikes anywhere in the world at speeds of over 5 times the speed of sound.
This project has been created with China and Russia in mind, as both countries are advancing in hypersonic missile technology.
China has already developed missiles that can reach targets up to 3,000 miles away. While Russia has recently placed hypersonic missiles on its newest frigate.
The US military leaders want longer-range and more accurate hypersonic missiles to defend against threats from China and Russia.
The Army is very excited about the new missile. However, Navy Secretary Carlos Del Toro stated that the Navy is not looking to add hypersonic missiles to their aircraft at the moment.
In addition, he said they are currently focused on making the CPS work on their Zumwalt-class destroyers and, later on, submarines.
He stated that the super-fast hypersonic missiles will be put on the Zumwalt-class destroyers by 2025.
And at the same time, the American Air Force is collaborating with Raytheon Corporation to create their own hypersonic attack cruise missile.
However, the tables seem to have turned as reports say the Russian hypersonic Kinzhal missile is now utilizing American technology.
You see, Russia has been in the news for using its new Kinzhal missile in Ukraine.
However, recent information shows that Russia might be using Western technology, possibly even from America, to guide the missile to its targets.
Two UK-based think tanks, Royal United Services Institute and Conflict Armament Research analyzed Russian weapons found in Ukraine.
They tried to determine if the highly publicized Kh-47M2 Kinzhal missile may contain Western components.
