The war with Iran is rapidly becoming a real-world testing ground for some of the United States’ most advanced military technology.
From newly developed drones to long-range precision missiles and stealth fighter jets, the US military has deployed a wide array of weapons systems in the conflict. Among them is the Lucas drone, a low-cost kamikaze drone modeled after Iranian designs, capable of traveling long distances before exploding on impact.
The conflict has also seen the first operational use of the US Army’s Precision Strike Missile, designed to hit strategic targets more than 500 kilometers away. Meanwhile, the F-35 stealth fighter jet—one of the most advanced combat aircraft ever built—has played a key role in air operations.
Alongside these systems, the US has deployed aircraft carriers, bombers, submarines, and thousands of troops across the Middle East. Military analysts say the scale of the deployment represents one of the largest concentrations of US military power in the region in the 21st century.
As tensions escalate, the conflict is reshaping modern warfare and revealing how new technologies are being used on the battlefield.
