Exclusive smart solutions that require special navigation knowledge or mobility do not help people with disabilities. They might even provoke them to question their identity or value when employed in an incredibly personal and important place like home.


According to The World Health Organization, “any device or system that allows individuals to perform tasks they would otherwise be unable to do or increases the ease and safety with which tasks can be performed defines Assistive Technology”.
