Vivint has come a long method given that it presented its doorbell electronic camera in 2015. Like its competition-- that includes the similarity Comcast Xfinity, ADT, and even DIY solutions like Simplisafe-- Vivint deals a complete suite of connected wise home security devices that work together to protect houses versus whatever from robbery, to fires, and floods. The difference, as I have actually experienced first-hand, comes down to the service experience.
Bitten by the clever house security bug, I wanted more. I wanted clever locks, voice control, door sensors, window sensing units, and video cameras ... with night vision. Then Vivint occurred and provided to set up a thorough wise home security system for evaluation with the alternative to either remove the system afterward or leave it in place for follow-up reviews as new functions and hardware were included down the line.
I'm opting for the latter. Vivint isn't the most budget friendly clever home security alternative, but their service and app experience are exceptional, and through my experience with their system, I have actually discovered both of those aspects are absolutely key.
Vivint outfitted my home with its doorbell camera, one indoor video camera, three outside video cameras (all with night vision), 2 Kwikset SmartCode deadbolt locks, 3 door sensing units, 10 window sensing units, one interior movement sensing unit, two glass-break sensors, 2 smoke detectors, and a flood/heat/cold sensing unit, and a touchscreen control board. If that sounds like a lot, I handed down four window sensors for the 2nd floor, a wise thermostat (Vivint makes its own, and Nest is an option), a smart garage door opener module, and any of Vivint's smart lighting options, that include light modules and compatibility with Philips Color smart bulbs. The point here is that Vivint systems are designed to offer clever home convenience as well as security, and systems can be scaled from modest to practically obscenely fancy.
