I'm a Computer Science grad from Northeastern University, Boston. During my masters, I interacted with a bunch of students from other masters programs including MIS or IS, Data Science, Engineering Management, DataAnalytics, etc. In this video, I'm sharing with you guys the key differences between the two very close programs i.e. Computer Science (CS) and Management Information Systems (MIS)/ Information Systems (IS). From internships and full-time perspective, both the programs have a very similar job market which adds more to the confusion in terms of what's right for you. Although if you look at the coursework of the two programs then you'll realize that one is a lot focused on deeper topics of CS like Information Security, Machine Learning, etc. while the other one focuses a lot on hands-on programming or Software Engineering type of courses.
