There has been a rapid increase in ransomware attacks over the past few years. According to Gartner’s Top Security and Risk Management Trends 2021, 45% of organizations worldwide will have experienced attacks on their software supply chains, while 50% of large organizations will adopt privacy-enhancing computation for processing data in untrusted environments.
Organizations have reprioritized cyber resilience to deal with sophisticated attacks. Time will tell what 2022 holds. At the same time, changed mindsets, rapid innovation and advanced threats have led identity and security professionals to rethink and reimagine security and weave it into the fabric of an organization.
