Although Machine Learning tools are commonly used in numerous applications such as direct advertisements, recommendation engines, algo-trading and more, the big boom of advanced analytics in security systems is still yet to come. After introducing the main concepts of Machine Learning, we will discuss some of the promises and challenges in applying machine learning on big data for security, present the current paradigm for utilizing machine learning algorithms to solve cyber security problems, and demonstrate few concrete use-cases.
