How we classify IoT devices - Internet of Things

How do you classify IoT devices? We classify them in one of three ways:

1. Totally dependent on the cloud or a command and control server. No real local control.
2. Hybrid - Can be locally controlled OR use a command and control server.
3. No command and control server with total local control.
