Wearable devices in the market are dominated by smartwatches, masks, wristbands, earbuds, and some health monitoring devices.
Wearable technology like Google Glass and Microsoft HoloLens is being used in business applications. The health care market is providing remote patient monitoring using some of these devices. Wearable devices have more usage and scope in the medical area. Forecasts for the health monitoring devices in the first five years by CTA show healthy double-digit growth.
Vida is a company that makes wearable air purifiers. Their most recent one is called the E three. The E three are Bluetooth earbuds combined with an air purifier. Another company called Razor launched the ‘Zephyr pro max mask’. The pro version can remove 99% of bacteria through its filtration system. A feature of the pro model is that they have included built-in microphones right into the mask with speakers to improve voice clarity. In addition, they have a replaceable filter. They also have an app that allows you to program the colour of the ring around the area where the filter is located.
H2-BP is a wearable blood pressure monitor. The H2-BP is like a blood pressure cuff, instead of measuring from your arm, the H2-BP blood pressure monitor measures from your wrist. It also has Bluetooth that can connect to your phone. The memory on the band can store up to 200 measurements. Reliefband has launched an anti-nausea wrist band that helps in controlling nausea and vomiting. It’s a wearable wristband that generates a proprietary pulse that stimulates the neuro modulation that will go to the nervous system of your brain that controls nausea. It also has IPX seven rating for protection.
