For those who are afraid of injections, South Korea has developed a syringe needle that is incredibly soft. But if it’s that soft, how does it pierce the skin? This injection needle is made using gallium metal, which melts at body temperature. Because of this, the needle is just hard enough to penetrate the skin, but softens due to the body’s heat. This prevents injuries to the patient and unethical reuse of syringe needles.
