QNAP NAS migration: How to transfer your hard disks without losing data

I demonstrate step by step how to migrate the four hard disks of my QNAP TS-421 NAS in RAID 5 array to my new QNAP TS-664 NAS, while preserving all data and settings.

Hard disk migration between QNAP devices is quite possible, but there are important steps you should follow to ensure a smooth process. I will explain how to prepare your old NAS, deactivate the cache, check the firmware and finally insert the hard disks correctly into the new NAS.
