Local students got up close and personal with fun experiments at the library.
From flames to foam, kids in grades one through five got the chance to experience the wonders of chemistry at the 95th Street Library.
“We are really excited about inspiring kids to think about science careers and when they are presented with science to be excited and open to it as opposed to already deciding that they don’t want to do it,” said Science Presenter for the Science Alliance, Scott Douglas.
Kids took part in various experiments from learning what an atom is, to making their very own slime.
The presentation was put on by the Science Alliance, a group of teachers that work to encourage kids to explore science through fun experiments.
