When comparing old wars to modern wars, the key difference is the technology utilized. A prime example is the use of FPV drones. According to the Russian publication Izvestia, the skill of FPV drone operators now exceeds that of the renowned snipers from the Great Patriotic War.
It has been reported that a Russian soldier used FPV drones to take out more than 300 Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters, whereas the famous WWII sniper, Hero of the USSR Vasily Zaitsev, took down over 240 fascist soldiers. This raises the question: what makes these drones so effective compared to the renowned sniper?
