The Interdisciplinary Surgical Technology and Innovation Center (INSTINCT) is a program in the Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine that offers support, mentorship, seed grants and more for aspiring inventors. These could be researchers, surgeons, medical students, residents or other members of the department who have an idea that may improve patient care. Several projects are underway, including the three detailed in this video.
